dnf @ 36% i don't think i'm the right target audience for this... whereas i'm not averse to romantic books and relationships in novels, the whole idea of this was... dying for love, living for love, doing everything for love... all the plot surrounded that basic idea, and that is Not My Thing at all. i'm not rating it because i don't think it was objectively bad, it was just not my cup of tea.The Last Valentine by Felix Alexander is a sweeping epic saga of multiple love stories within one story. It is filled with poetic beauty that captures the soul. The scenery and descriptions are penned so beautifully that the vivid scenes come alive in the readers mind. Skillfully written in lyrical poetic beauty, The Last Valentine is a treat to be savored. The words flow beautifully straight off the page. The storyline is unique and very different in that it involves many generations of love
5 cups of tea read. I read this quickly and then forgot to write my review. I was given an ebook of this to give a honest review and what can i say I loved it. This is not my usual read so i am glad i approached the author for this as it was truly beautiful. I will be doing a video review when i can get my hands on a paperback as there is loads i want to mark and talk about that would be easier to do with a physical copy of the book. The writing style is truly beautiful and when I started getting
*Disclaimer: I recieved a free copy of this book via Booktasters and the author*I really enjoyed reading this. Felix Alexander writes beautifully. I'm not the biggest fan of romance--but this book had such beautiful prose that it was easy to keep reading. However, at times, it does seem a bit too descriptive. It's easy to feel like you've been transported to 1930s Puerto Rico with the way Alexander writes. The storyline--which features more than just romance--is intriguing and helps the reader
*Received via BookTasters in exchange for an honest review. The thoughts are entirely my own and in no way biased.*First of, I love the premise of this story! A love letter in possession of the murder victim and just about the only clue the police has to catch the killer. And to top it, it's set in earlier times. I'm sort of a history buff and I didn't know much about Old Sienna or Peurto Rico in 1935, so I like that too! It's murder and mystery and romance and awesome!I love the writing style.
Does Cupid exist Well if you dont believe it; you may have a change of heart after reading this story. I was given an ARC of this book to read for my honest review, and I have to say that I am impressed. This is the first book that I have read from Felix Alexander, but it will not be my last. This is not your typical sappy love story, but more about the endless possibilities of love. I also enjoyed the suspense in the story that kept me up till 3am. I found it to be romantically intriguing and
Set in Puerto Rico in the year 1935, "The Last Valentine" tells a story of forbidden love and the search for the mythical (or so it was considered) Labyrinth of Love Letters. After the death of a mystery man, a bloodstained letter - the only clue to the man's identity - finds its way into Olivia Villalobos' possession. Instead of giving the letter back to the police, Olivia begins her search for the Labyrinth of Love Letters with her best friend, Isaac, to ensure that the intended recipient of
