Commentary During Books Si tú me dices ven lo dejo todo... pero dime ven

Weird, just like Espinosa usually is, but still philosophical and beautifully written.
This was my second book by him, and I believe that I can say he writes the most original stuff I have ever read. I have no clue how he manages to think of all these things and incorporate them into the story so that they work.
While I did enjoy his other book more (Everything You and I Could Have Been If We Weren't You and I), this one didn't disappoint. It was far less magical, but the weirdness didn't lack and the life lessons were still thrown in here and there (which is something I like about his writing a lot).
The only things that didn't sit well with me was how abruptly it ended and how there were a lot of jumps from one timeline to the other. The letter was cool at first, but got too repetitive and annoying later on.

actual rating: 3.5 starsWhen I bought the book I expected it to be special. Spanish always adds a lot of feeling to the book, making it more magical (as it happened for me with Carlos Ruiz Zafon's books). The writing mesmerized me in the beginning but left me rather underwhelmed as it all drew to a close. My first issue: I was promised a story about a break-up and a child that needs to be found. Espinosa managed to stuff that content into a few dozen pages and filled the others with something

I love it! its a short read but it was great. I get a free copy from the giveaway and an extra copy of The Yellow World, its my next read for sure! Thanks!

Simple but full of little takeaways that come as timely personal reminders

This is my first time reading Mr. Espinosa and this book got me crying in the first 11 pages and several "Get yourself together! You're a man!" throughout the book. When i first saw it, i thought this is a romance novel and i was prepared for eye-rolling parts. Well, i never got the chance to do the exercise cause I enjoyed the adventure and how Mr. Espinosa put all the story together. If you love books that warm you up and get you to smile, this could be a book for you.

Best book that talks about philosophy! Amazing book!

A quirky fable that's quite brief in the telling but very long in the title.Dani's girlfriend is packing her bags and leaving him, and in the midst of this event he receives a call that a child is missing and he needs to go to find him (he's an investigator of sorts).Dani wants to explain to the reader why his girlfriend is leaving him, how his life has come to this point, and in order to do this he takes us back through his memories of some of the most significant events and people as he was
