Morgan Rowlands holds profound magickal power. . . a power that some will stop at nothing to obtain. Though she knows she has much still to learn, magick has brought her more than she could ever have imagined: the love of her soul mate. Yet her dreams uncover something else - a dark force threatening her entire world. As the darkness closes in, Morgan realizes that she must make a choice - light or dark; hatred or love. Is she strong enough to make the sacrifice and discover her true nature, or will the darkness consume all she holds dear?

Lord have mercy on my soul for this one. I swear I wanted to pull a full Bradley Cooper from Silver Linings Playbook where he throws the book out the window only to go get it again. Morgan irked me more then she had in the first 6 books (God has it really been 6 books already?). Even Hunter, my undeniable favorite of the story, got on my nerves a little bit, at least in the first book of the volume, the second and third books weren't much better (although Hunter redeemed himself to me). ThisAs I begin book #7 (The Calling), I am bombarded again with a recap of what Morgan has found out about her life so far and little things that have happened in past books. Why, oh why does the author and publisher continue this annoying little habit? I actually looked up the publication dates and the first seven books were published in 2001. I dont think that people would forget that much in a month or two in between books. Please, let the madness stop!Again, (this is another publisher issue), I
re-reading the bind-ups of an old teen favourite. still adore this series.

THE CALLINGBefore reading The Calling, it had been awhile since I had read the previous Sweep book, so I was worried my interest would have waned. However, I didnt have much of a problem getting back into the Sweep world, and ultimately found The Calling to be another fantastic addition to the series, one of the best ones yet.The Calling takes place a little bit after Spellbound, and this time the gang is headed to New York City to spend a week in Brees fathers Manhattan apartment. They think
I usually try to do my reviews spoiler free but THIS ONE HAS SPOILERS!!!Honestly, I should give this volume of Sweep 4.5 stars for the last half of Changeling and the entire Strife book. I woke up at 5:15 am because I was DETERMINED to be finish this book before my cup of tea, before church, before the Labor Day weekend cookout. Changeling was full of realizations, surprises, and a big "I KNEW IT" about who Morgan's birth father really was. I guess I should say is. But never in a million years I
Read January 2015I read the Volume 1 in 2013 & Volume 2, summer 2014 and really loved both of them, but for some reason I waited quite a while picking up this one. (Maybe it's because each volume contains 3 of the Sweep books and I'm just not someone for marathonning series.) I'm really happy I finally did though (and actually bought 4 & 5 as well) because just like the previous two I really loved it!It's a very fun quick read and I love how it's set in 'our normal' world, but with
I'm not sure if I enjoyed it as much as the previous volume. I found the lack of closure of the last book a bit frustrating. I really wanted to know if my suspicions were right. Morgan also needs to have a serious talk with her parents about what's going on because as long as they're in the dark about the danger she's been in lately, they're going to keep making stupid decisions like almost sending her to Catholic school (which she took way too easily btw, I would've fought them every step of
